Following the release of “Zorbas the Greek dance” by Fm Records Athens, Mikis Theodorakis,
“The Kites ” follow. For 40 years Georgia Kombou belongs to the modern Cypriot women Who broke the streotypes and took the Bouzouki in their hands with claims. Her particular in playing (besides being a a woman) in the subtlety, the orchestration, and most important the historical performance of this work. She is the only Cypriot virtouzo bouzouki player and composer.
“The Kites” are one of the most distinctive Orchestra themes of Mikis Theodorakis, in the rhythm of the 5/8.When referring to the “Neighborhood of angels”, we mean the music and songs written by Mikis Theodorakis for the theatrical play  by Iakovos Campanellis, which was staged on October 4,1963 at the Cotopouli-Rex Theater, directed by the writer.

The recording of the album was made in the studio of George Synnos: “my concert recording studio”, Limassol, Final master at High-End Studio R-Mic Athens by Dr. Makey (ASCAP) 2019.

She was born in Limassol. She studied at the Thessaloniki Contemporary Conservatory. She is the only woman master / soloist in the bouzouki in Cyprus. She has won awards World Competitions such as the Global Music Awards 2019 in California. For years she has been part of the group of bouzouki  by Thanassis Polykandriotis EPOMENOI ” by participating in performances with important Greek artists such as Kraounakis, Aslanidou, Andreatos, Natasa Theodoridou, Pitsa Papadopoulou, Babis Stokas etc. in big theaters in Athens and on shows such as on the show ” Stin ygeia mas ” with Spyros Papadopoulos, Costas Chardavellas and Yiannis Zouganelis.

Born in Athens-Greece, he studied piano and theory at the Athens Hellenic Conservatory. He continued his studies in Musicology at the University of Paris-Sorbonne and graduated with the undergraduate degree and postgraduate title of the 3rd cycle of study (DEA). At the same time, he studied music composition for cinema and conducting at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris from where he acquired the Diplôme supérieur. He studied orchestration, composition and theory (harmony, choral, counterpoint, fugue) with Professor Julien Falk, at the Consevatoire de Paris, followed by Jazz studies at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. For a decade he had a composer exclusivity with Sony Music Publishings in Paris. He has performed as the pianist and orchestrator of the Greek artists: Haris Alexiou, Alkistis Protopsaltis, Dimitra Galani, Manolis Mitsias, Mario Fragoulis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, George Perris and others.
He is currently extensively working with symphonic, electronic and light music orchestrations.
