Mikis Theodorakis (Chios, 29 July 1925 - Athens, 2 September 2021) was a Greek composer, lyricist and politician of Cretan and Asia Minor origin. He is considered one of the most important contemporary Greek composers and one of the most influential and important personalities of Greece in the second half of the 20th century.
