Vassilis Mastorakis excelled as a student of Dimitris Fampas. He is a soloist with a discography and collaborations with important conductors, composers and orchestras. He currently works as artistic director of the Piraeus Model Music Centre and the Kallithea Municipal Conservatory and as a classical guitar teacher at the Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Renti Municipal Conservatory and the Agios Dimitrios Municipal Conservatory. He has given a series of master class seminars and has participated in numerous concerts of contemporary, classical and art Greek music. He has created guitar ensembles giving young musicians the opportunity to present their work to the public and is the artistic director of the Piraeus Guitar Festival. Many of the students of his school are among the leading guitarists of our generation.
